UCF’s 31-24 loss at Houston on Saturday was watched nationally by approximately 192,000 viewers on ESPNU, according to SportsTVRatings.com. That is 21,000 more viewers then last year’s Houston-UCF Game, which aired on ESPNews at same time slot on October 24th.
It is UCF’s 2nd game on ESPNU this season, as the Knights were on ESPNU for their October 15th home game against Temple. That Saturday night game garnered 100,000 viewers on a tough TV night that saw the Knights game up against the Major League Baseball Playoffs and top college football match-ups, including Ohio State-Wisconsin, Arkansas and Ole Miss among them.
The most-watched UCF game this season by far and away was the September 10th loss at Michigan, which was televised on ABC as the game drew 2.8 millions viewers nationally and a 4.4 TV rating in Orlando which, was the 5th best TV market for the game.
Keep in mind that ESPN does not release numbers this season for games that air on ESPNNews, so as a result, there are no numbers to report for UCF’s game at UConn on October 22nd. CBS Sports Network also does not make viewers numbers available for the public
UCF’s home game against Tulane on Saturday will be available only on ESPN3.com, with Chris Hassell and Forrest Conolly on the broadcast.
