Calabrese led his team through a wild season in 2017:
- The Knights had their first two home matches canceled due to bad weather and didn't play a home regular season match until October 4th.
- Starting with that home debut against Stetson, the Knights finished unbeaten in their final six matches in the regular season.
- UCF vaulted from 3-6-1 before the Stetson match to 8-6-2, landing in second place in The American.
- UCF then beat UConn in the AAC semis on their home field with a late goal before falling to top-seeded SMU in the Championship Game on a golden goal in the 96th minute.
That was a wild ride, but one that finished quite encouragingly heading into 2018.
WIth Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak also signing an extension this week, that means both of UCF's soccer coaches are now locked in through 2022.
