UCF Volleyball split its two matches in the Sunshine State Classic in Coral Gables.
In the first match, UCF made short work of FAU, sweeping the Owls and hitting a whopping .368 on the day.

McKenna Melville led the Knights with 16 kills. Her performance, as well as that of her fellow freshmen, was the story for Coach Dagenais:

Miami put the end to the Knights' run to open the season, sweeping UCF in the nightcap.

Melville again led UCF with 20 kills, as UCF hit a strong .281. But Miami hit .370 en route to the victory.
Melville leads UCF with 55 kills in three matches this year.
The Knights face Louisville (receiving votes in the AVCA coaches' poll), #10 USC and #7 Florida next week in Gainesville.
