Knights junior Quarterback McKenzie Milton appeared on The Jim Rome Show on CBS Sports Radio Tuesday.
Milton discussed the upcoming 2018 season, including working with new head coach Josh Heupel after having worked with Scott Frost the previous two seasons.
“He’s a good guy and I think he’s a great teacher at the quarterback position," Milton said. "I get to learn under two of the best offensive minds (Scott Frost & Josh Heupel) in college football. It’s been great for me as a player under Coach Heupel’s direction.”
Milton also talked about his experience at the Manning Passing Academy in the offseason.
Milton talked about being a counselor at the Elite 11 camp as well this offseason after not being invited to the camp when he was at high school. He also discussed his friendship with fellow Hawai'ian and Alabama Quarterback Tua Tagovailova, and shared his story on why he came to UCF instead of staying home at Hawai'i.
Milton talked about the turnaround of UCF's program since his arrival and the legacy he hopes to leave at UCF.
