A first-inning RBI single by Jazmine Esparza was all White needed to clinch the win.
It’s the 17th no-hitter in UCF Softball history and the first since 2015.
The last one was a 5-inning run-rule no-hitter by Mackenzie Audas against Houston. Audas threw five no-hitters for her career, which is more than any other Knight.
The last 7-inning no-no for UCF was also in 2015 by Shelby Turnier against UConn, some two weeks prior to Audas’ no-hitter.
UCF followed up White’s spectacular performance with a 9-1 run-rule victory over Pittsburgh, capped by a Cassady Brewer 3-run double.
