in 2019, Alea White joined special UCF Softball club, becoming just the eighth UCF Knights pitcher to throw a no-hitter.
White joined the list on February 22 against Coastal Carolina, when she put on a show, striking out a career high 12 and leading the Knights to a 1-0 win.

It was the program’s 17th No-Hitter.
Prior to 2019, the last time a UCF Softball pitcher threw a no-hitter was in 2015 when Mackenzie Audas threw a memorable 5-inning run-rule no-hitter against Houston. It was Audas’ 5th No-Hitter, which is most by any Knight pitcher ever, breaking the record held by UCF Hall-of-Famer Allison Kime. It was also the same game where Audas broke Kime’s record for most wins in program history.
The last 7-inning no-no for UCF was also in 2015 by Shelby Turnier against UConn, some two weeks prior to Audas’ no-hitter.
Turnier would end up with three career no-hitters and would end up breaking Audas’ career win record in 2016 with 80 wins.
Audas and Turnier were the only UCF pitchers to throw a no-hitter at the UCF Softball Complex until White joined them with her no-hitter.
White became the 8th UCF pitcher to throw a No-Hitter joining Audas (5), Kime (4), Turnier (3), Lindsay Enders, Dottie Cupp, Taylor Sawyer, and Pysha Simmons, who is still the only Knight to have thrown a perfect game, on Feb 2, 2003.
You can listen to my interview with White following the No-Hitter and final call at the 1:05:45 mark of the Black and Gold Banneret Podcast from February 28th.
White would go on to have her best year yet of her UCF career, winning 23 games with 1.61 ERA and earning First Team All-AAC as well as All-Region honors.
She will enter her senior season in 2020 just 14 wins behind Turnier for the all-time wins record as White is currently 4th all-time with 66 behind Kime (71), Audas (78), and Turnier (80).
