On March 17, the UCF Knights Men’s Basketball program made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005, as the Knights found out they would be a 9-seed in the East Region and would take on the 8-seed VCU in Columbia, South Carolina.
The Knights did not score for the first four minutes of the game, but once they settled in, it would become the Tacko Fall Coming-out Party for the national media.
Fall paced the Knights with 10 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks as the Knights’ defense shut down VCU, holding them to 31% shooting from the field. The Knights would get the program’s first NCAA Tournament win with 73-58 win.
It’s a night to remember as UCF advanced to the 2nd round and would take on #1 Duke with future #1-overall NBA Draft pick Zion Williamson.

The national media would be all about Tacko even after the game, when Fall was interviewed by CBS’ Tracy Wolfson:
"The guys gave it everything they had and that's all you can ask."
