NFL Wild Card Alum-knight Report: Latavius Murray, Gabe Davis come up big in wins

Some Alum-knights will be charging on to the Divisional Round.

NFL: NFC Wild Card Round-Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s a recap of how UCF Alum-knights performed in the NFL during this Wild Card weekend:

  • Bills WR Gabriel Davis caught four passes for 85 yards in a win over the Colts. The victory was the first playoff win for the Bills since 1995, four years before Davis was born. Two of his catches came during the final drive of the first half, where the Bills took the lead for good.
  • Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin recorded one tackle in a loss to the Rams. Shaquill, and his brother Shaquem, are expected to hit free agency this March.
  • Saints RB Latavius Murray caught a touchdown pass from Drew Brees in a win over the Bears Sunday afternoon. Murray ran the ball four times for nine yards and caught two passes for 11 yards. Oh, and he also entered the Slime Zone.
  • Saints WR Tre’Quan Smith served his third consecutive game on injured reserve. He is able to be activated for their playoff game next week against the Buccaneers.
