Tay Sanders posted her first ever double-double with a game-high 17 points to go with 10 rebounds along with three steals. Diamond Battles added 13 points and Brittney Smith chipped in with 12 points.
The Knights held Houston to 32% shooting from the field for the game and locked down Houston’s leading scorer, Britney Onyeje, holding her to five points on one of five from the field.
Onyeje came to UCF but transferred to Houston to be closer to home and sat out last year.
UCF now heads on the road to take on Temple on Saturday.
