We start our look at the UCF Knights’ 2021 NFL Draft prospects with one of the several DBs who should get their name called pretty early.

Aaron Robinson arrived at UCF after playing his freshman season at Alabama. After sitting out a year due to transfer rules and battling a serious concussion in the season opener against UConn in 2018, Robinson really became a star in 2019 at the nickelback position. After earning second-team all-conference in 2019, Robinson was named to the 2020 Nagurski Award and Jim Thorpe Award preseason watch lists.
His draft stock really skyrocketed after a Senior Bowl performance that earned him some major buzz on social media. The icing on the cake was a 4.38 40 time during his pro day which surpassed top prospects Patrick Surtain II (4.42) and Asante Samuel (4.45). While the majority of his experience came in the slot, Robinson showed this past season that he has the ability to play on the outside as well which makes him that much more valuable.

The NFL has given Robinson a 6.30 prospect grade which means “will be starter within first two seasons,” while Pro Football Focus has him listed as the seventh best corner in this draft class.
Due to the depth of the corner position in this draft, I think he’ll fall to the second or third round, which will be a steal for whoever drafts him.
