The third UCF defensive back is off the board.
Tay Gowan is the latest Knight to enter the NFL after the Arizona Cardinals took him with the 223rd pick in the NFL Draft.

With Gowan being drafted, he becomes the fourth Knight to be selected in the Draft, which ties a school record.
Gowan opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19, and that may have hurt his draft stock a little bit, but it doesn’t change how much of a stud he can be in the NFL.
Gowan played just one full season in his collegiate career after transferring from Miami (OH) following the 2017 season. However, in 2019, Gowan was UCF’s best CB and made some of the Knights’ biggest plays in the secondary.
Gowan offers the Cardinals the dynamic playmaking ability he showcased in his one year as a Knight. Perhaps his lack of tape is why Gowan didn’t get drafted until now, but he’ll represent the Knights well on Sundays for years to come.
