Another Knight is NFL-bound!

UCF WR Tre Nixon is NFL-bound after being drafted by the New England Patriots with the 242nd pick in the NFL Draft.

Nixon is the fifth Knight to be drafted, a UCF record for most players taken in a draft.

Nixon had the opportunity to declare for last year’s draft but opted to stay at UCF in order to boost his draft stock. Unfortunately for Nixon, this season was dominated by injuries and he stood on the sidelines more than the field.

Nixon was on the top of the receiver depth chart at the beginning of the season, but he dislocated his collarbone during the first game of the season. Nixon only suited up in four games this past season, piling up 260 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

If you’re looking for Nixon at his peak, you might want to catch some 2019 highlights from Nixon, his best statistical season at UCF. In arguably his best game as a Knight, Nixon caught seven passes for 136 yards against Pitt.

Tre Nixon, welcome to the NFL!
