The UCF Knights’ 41-19 win over SMU drew 866,000 viewers on ESPN2, according to ShowBuzzDaily.com.
It is the 2nd-most watched UCF game of the season to date, behind only the Friday night home game against Louisville (1.881 million) on September 9th.
It is also the 2nd-most watched SMU-UCF telecast behind only the 2013 game (1.4 million).
The game was the fifth-highest-rated cable program in the 18-49 demo with a 0.23 rating, which was behind shows like All Elite Wrestling Dynamite on TBS and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo (1.1 million), which was the number one cable show of the night.
The SMU-UCF game upgraded from its original time slot on ESPNU Saturday at 3:30 to 7:00 pm Wednesday night on ESPN2, which helped the overall viewership.
UCF’s win over Georgia Tech on September 24th, which aired on ESPNU, drew only 107,000 viewers, which is the 2nd-lowest viewed UCF football telecast that has aired on ESPNU, and the third-lowest on the ESPN family of networks in the last decade.
UCF has another non-Saturday ESPN game next Thursday night against Temple, which will air on ESPN at 7 p.m.
