The UCF Knights’ 52-21 loss at Kansas on Fox was watched by 1.45 million viewers, according to sportsmediawatch.com.

It is the most-watched regular season Knights football telecast since the September 9, 2022 game against Louisville (1.8 million).

The game finished a distant third in the 3:30-4:00 p.m. game blocks behind Alabama at Texas A&M on CBS (7.23 million) and Virginia Tech at Florida State on ABC (3.02 million).

The game is down from last year’s equivalent Pac-12 matchups (Utah-UCLA: 1.5, 2.65M in the same Fox time slot.

UCF’s next game at Oklahoma figures to top the Kansas viewership numbers as it will air on ABC at noon Eastern. Saturday’s Texas-Oklahoma “Red River Rivalry” game averaged a 4.2 rating and 7.87 million viewers across ABC (3.9, 7.31M) and a Pat McAfee-hosted simulcast on ESPN2 (0.30, 559K), marking the largest audience for the annual game since 2009 (8.71M) according to SportsmediaWatch.com.

It will be the 14th time UCF appears on ABC. The Knights are 7-6 all-time on ABC with the last appearance coming at the AAC Championship game at Tulane on December 4, 2022.

The last time the Knights were on ABC in the regular season was on October 26, 2021, at Cincinnati, which drew 1.3 million in the same noon slot.
