UCF-Oklahoma Draws 2.1 Million Viewers on ABC

Most-watched Knights telecast of 2023

NCAA Football: Central Florida at Oklahoma Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The UCF Knights’ 31-29 loss at No. 6 Oklahoma on ABC was watched by 2.17 million viewers, according to sportsmediawatch.com.

It is the 23rd time in history that a UCF football telecast has drawn at least two million viewers. The last time it happened in a UCF regular season game telecast was the 2020 season opener at Georgia Tech (3.0 million) on September 19, 2020.

The game had stiff competition, going head to head against Penn State-Ohio State on Fox, which was the most-watched game of the day — and one of the most-watched of the season — at 9.96 million viewers.

Texas at Houston was the most-watched Big 12 game of the day at 3.08 million. That game aired on Fox at 4 p.m.

The Knights’ next two games will air on FS1. This Saturday’s home game against West Virginia starts at noon with Eric Collins and Devin Gardner on the broadcast. Collins and Gardner have called UCF’s previous 4 games that have aired on FS1 this year.

The November 4th game at Cincinnati is to start at 3:30 p.m.

UCF Volleyball’s ESPN Debut Draws 202,000 Viewers

UCF Volleyball’s loss at #21 Baylor drew 202,000 viewers on ESPN, according to SportsTVRatings.com easily making it the most-watched UCF Volleyball telecast ever. It more than doubled the viewers of the Knights 2019 AAC Tournament title win over Cincinnati, which aired on ESPNU.

It was the third Knights match to be broadcast on cable television this season with the September 14th match at Purdue and the September 15th match against Illinois airing on the Big Ten Network.
