Shaquem Griffin has found his newest NFL home.
According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport, the Miami Dolphins are signing the former UCF Knight to a one-year deal just ahead of training camp.
The #Dolphins are signing ex-#Seahawks LB Shaquem Griffin to a 1-year deal, source said. Some LB depth and special teams help. Colleague @TomPelissero had reported he was in for a visit. Now, he’s sticking around.

Earlier in free agency, Shaquem’s brother Shaquill signed a long-term contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, just two hours away from where he played his college ball, and it looks like Shaquem’s next NFL home is also not too far from the Bounce House.
Griffin has mostly been a special teams player in his first three seasons, and that’s what he’s expected to be in Miami.
He can also add to the team’s strong linebacker depth, which features Jerome Baker, Elandon Roberts, Benardrick McKinney and first-round pick Jaelan Phillips.
With Shaquem signed, the NFL now has 26 Alum-knights participating in training camps this summer, a program-best.
Congratulations to Shaquem on his brand new contract and welcome back to the Sunshine State!
