Sunday Knight Football: NFL Week 8

How did UCF alumni play this Hallo-weekend?

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

As we get ready to celebrate Halloween, let's take a look back at this past week to see ow our former Knights did in the NFL.

WR Gabe Davis — Buffalo Bills

Davis recorded nine catches for 87 yards and one touchdown in the Bills’ 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Thursday night.

RB Latavius Murray — Buffalo Bills

Murray had five carries for seven yards in the Bills’ win.

S Richie Grant — Atlanta Falcons

Grant recorded nine tackles, six of which were solo tackles, and one pass deflection in the Falcons’ 28-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

K Matt Prater — Arizona Cardinals

Prater was one-for-one on field goal attempts and one-for-one on extra point attempts in the Cardinals’ 31-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Prater also kicked a successful onside kick attempt.

DB Shaquill Griffin — Houston Texans

Griffin recorded eight tackles, all of which were solo tackles, in the Texans’ 15-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

TE Jordan Akins — Cleveland Browns

Akins recorded one catch for six yards on the Browns’ 24-20 to the Seattle Seahawks.

DB Mike Hughes — Atlanta Falcons

Hughes recorded one tackle in the Falcons’ loss.

LS Charley Hughlett — Cleveland Browns

Hughlett served as a long snapper on two field goal attempts, two extra-point attempts, and three punts in the Browns loss.

LS Alex Ward — Los Angeles Rams

Wards served as a long snapper for two field goal attempts and four punts in the Rams’ 43-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

WR Tre’Quan Smith — Denver Broncos

Smith dressed in the Broncos’ 24-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs but didn’t record any stats.

Smith was elevated from the Broncos’ practice squad, which he was signed to on October 3rd, due to another wide receiver and fellow former Knight, Brandon Johnson, being placed on the IR with a hamstring injury.

DT Kalia Davis — San Francisco 49ers

Davis dressed in the game but did not record any stats in the 49ers’ 31-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
