The American Athletic Conference released its 2020-21 schedules for men’s and women’s basketball Friday afternoon. Hot off the presses, let’s take a gander at what lies ahead for the UCF Knights.
Let’s begin with the men’s basketball schedule:

Look at that December for the Knights! Michigan, Houston and Florida State — all on the road — followed by Cincinnati and Tulane. The notable home dates here include that Cincy game on Dec. 22, vs. Memphis on Jan. 5, vs. Houston on Jan. 17 and vs. South Florida on Feb. 17. If the Knights can stay above water in the early portions of this schedule, the home stretch looks fairly friendly.
UCF will tip off its season on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. with a home game against the Oklahoma Sooners. That is the first of four attractive non-conference games for the Knights this season.
And here is the women’s basketball AAC schedule:

The women also open their conference season with a tough game — at home against Tulane. But what everyone wants to see here are the two dates versus South Florida. Those come on Feb. 7 (which is Super Bowl Sunday!) in Orlando and then the regular-season finale on March 2 in Tampa.
The Knights will open their season by hosting the Virginia Cavaliers on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
