The Basketball Tournament is experiencing a last-minute switch less than 24 hours before the start of the tournament.
Team Playing for Jimmy V, rostering UCF alumni Chad Brown and A.J. Davis, has been removed from The Tournament after a player tested positive for COVID-19.
After a team member tested positive for COVID-19, Playing for Jimmy V has been removed from TBT 2020. They will be replaced by the Peoria All-Stars, who will take on Herd That at 2 p.m. on July 5. pic.twitter.com/OWwlPJHzV8

It’s certainly a disappointment, especially after Brown and Davis shared their excitement for playing in TBT on the Black & Gold Banneret podcast.
Playing for Jimmy V ironically replaced Best Virginia, a West Virginia alumni team, after a player on their roster tested positive. Now, Playing for Jimmy V is on the other end.
“Jimmy V” is the fourth team to be removed from The Tournament following a positive COVID-19 test.
The team will be replaced by TBT veteran squad Peoria All Stars.
UCF won’t be unrepresented at The Tournament though. Shaheed Davis (‘16) will compete with War Tampa Saturday night against House of ‘Paign, an Illinois alumni team.
