Nixon becomes the second UCF wideout to declare for the draft after Marlon Williams declared last month.
This decision comes as a small surprise considering Nixon spent much of his 2020 season on the sidelines after he dislocated his collarbone in the first game of the year against Georgia Tech.
In 2020, Nixon caught 19 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns. However, in a healthy 2019 campaign, Nixon caught 49 passes for 830 yards and seven touchdowns.
Nixon definitely has potential to catch on in the NFL. According to NFL Draft analyst site Walter Football, Nixon is ranked as the 25th-best receiver in the class, which is widely considered to be one of the deepest receiver classes in recent memory.
Congrats, Tre, on declaring for the NFL Draft!
