If you have spent the past day or so stalking McKenzie Milton or any of McKenzie Milton’s friends or family on social media — any boy howdy, a lot of people have — you are probably on high alert for some breaking news today regarding KZ.
All signs are that his appointment with his orthopedic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic earlier this week went well. Milton posted a “thank you” note to his doctor on Instagram last night. Milton’s mother, Teresa, then thanked UCF fans on Twitter for “encouraging KZ all the way back to great health!”
It all has people wondering if this day — UCF Knights training camp eve — might the day we hear that Milton has been cleared to resume football activities. Milton hinted at that possible outcome a couple of months ago.
As of now, we don’t have that. What we do have, however, are some awesome clips of Milton running, backpedaling, jumping and shuffling off his extensively repaired right leg with seemingly no issues.
McKenzie Milton's mother just posted two videos of the #UCF QB working out his legs, running side to side, backwards and jumping on it.

As I’ve said all along, seeing Milton play football again is really the cherry on top of this situation. I know he badly wants to return to game action, but for me, the real joy in these clips comes from seeing just how athletically and how easily Milton is moving off of a leg that was almost amputated about 20 months ago. It is nothing short of inspiring.
Maybe we’ll still hear something about Milton’s 2020 football status either today or tomorrow or at some other point in the near future. But for now, this should make every UCF fan — and every sports fan, really — jump for joy.
