UCF Knights QB Dillon Gabriel suffered a broken clavicle on his throwing shoulder on the final play of last night’s 42-35 loss at Louisville.
According to a tweet from Gabriel himself, no surgery is required, but he says below there is no timetable for his return. He may not be back this season.

Gabriel is listed as a junior. There is no word on if that was his final game as a Knight. He does have an extra year of eligibility remaining due to COVID.
There is no official word on whether he can apply for a medical redshirt. Last night was his third game, and NCAA rules state a player can play up to 25% of his team’s games and still retain redshirt eligibility.

Freshman Mikey Keene is listed as the number two QB on the depth chart. We have also seen senior Kentucky transfer Joey Gatewood in run packages, including last night.
UCF has a bye upcoming before facing Navy in two weeks.
