Thursday was the UCF Knights’ first-ever appearance at Big 12 Media Days at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Head coach Gus Malzahn and five players — QB John Rhys Plumlee, WR Javon Baker, OL Lokahi Pauole, DE Josh Celiscar and DT Ricky Barber — represented the Knights in the program’s first formal media appearance before a Big 12 audience.

Ultimately, Media Days are more of a show than anything, but for UCF, it’s yet another first in a season of firsts — and being on that stage in that venue is another indication of where the program is now, and how far it has come.
