Highlights from UCF’s First Big 12 Media Day

Thursday was the UCF Knights’ first-ever appearance at Big 12 Media Days at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Head coach Gus Malzahn and five players — QB John Rhys Plumlee, WR Javon Baker, OL Lokahi Pauole, DE Josh Celiscar and DT Ricky Barber — represented the Knights in the program’s first formal media appearance before a Big 12 audience.

Ultimately, Media Days are more of a show than anything, but for UCF, it’s yet another first in a season of firsts — and being on that stage in that venue is another indication of where the program is now, and how far it has come.

If there were any questions about whether UCF belongs on that stage, they have officially been put to rest with this event.
