UCF Knights Softball started in 2002, but already they have become one of the university’s premier programs. Stephanie Best is so far the only UCF Softball player inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame, but she will very likely have some company in the coming years, starting with the following:

Jania Shinhoster (2002-2005)

• NFCA All Region (2002)
• 5th all-time in average (.316)
• 3rd in slugging pct (.522)
• 7th in On Base (390)
• 2nd in games played (271), runs scored (163), hits (268), triples (13), RBI (140), total bases (443)
• 1st in doubles (50)

Allison Kime (2006-2008)

• 1st team C-USA (2007, 2008), 1st Team NFCA All-Region (2007-2008)
• 1st UCF player to be named to 1st team All-Region team twice.
• Holds record for most strikeouts in game (18 at FSU in 2007)
• 2nd all-time in No-Hitters (4)
• Tied for best ERA in season by UCF pitcher with 0.87 in 2007 which was 3rd-best in NCAA behind legendary pitchers Monica Abbott-Tennessee and Angela Tincher-Virginia Tech.
• Holds UCF single season records in Most wins in a season (34 in 2008 which ranked 8th in NCAA), Strikeouts (359 in 08), Shutouts (15 in 07), Innings pitched (305.1 in 08),
• 1st all-time in ERA (1.20), Lowest batting average against (.183), shutouts (34), complete games (96)
• 3rd all-time in wins (71)
• 2nd all-time in strikeouts (847)
• C-USA Champion and NCAA Tournament appearance (2008)
• Led UCF to within one away of Super Regional in Gainesville Regional Final with a 1-0 win at No 1 Florida with a walk off RBI and shutout.
• Only UCF pitcher to have wins over South Florida, Florida, and Florida State in career.
• Played in NPF (2008-2009) with Rockford Thunder, 2nd UCF Softball player to play Pro Softball (Stephanie Best)
• Won NPF Championship (2009)

Breanne Javier (2006-2009)

• 3rd all-time in hits (268)
• 1st Team All-C-USA (2007-2008)
• 3rd all-time in total bases (305)
• Holds school record for most hits in a season (85 in 2008)
• 3rd all-time in average (.322)
• 2008 C-USA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance
• Played in NPF with USSSA Pride (2009)

Natalie Land (2009-2012)

• 2012 All-Region selection
• Three-time All-C-USA selection (2010-2012)
• Tied school record for most stolen bases in season (43 in 2012)
• 4th at UCF all-time in average (.316), runs scored (134), triples (10)
• 8th in UCF history in hits (206), 6th in total bases (290),
• 2nd in UCF history in stolen bases (102)
• NCAA Tournament Appearances in 2010 and 2012
• Played on United States Women’s Baseball National Team

Kahley Novak (2012-2015)

• UCF record holder for most stolen bases in a game (5 on March 5th, 2013)

• 6th all-time in runs scored (128)

Mackenzie Audas (2012-2015)

• ESPN Capital One All-American (2015)
• C-USA Co-Pitcher of the Year (2012), C-USA Freshman of the Year (2012)
• 3rd all-time at UCF in ERA (1.65)
• 1st in UCF history in career Ks/7 (8.29), appearances (150), starts (125), and innings pitched (823)
• UCF’s all-time leader in strikeouts (975) and No-Hitters (5)
• 2nd UCF all-time in wins (78), shutouts (29)
• Finished 2nd in NCAA in ERA in 2015 (0.95), behind teammate Shelby Turnier
• Three NCAA Tournament appearances (2012, 2014, 2015)

Shelby Turnier (2013-2016)

• 1st Team All-American (2015), 1st UCF Softball player to be All-American
• Top-10 Finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year (2015)

Renee Luers-Gillispie (2002-2018)

• First head coach in UCF Softball history
• 625-403-1 record at UCF
• Only UCF coach in any sport to win a conference championship in the A-Sun (2005), C-USA (2008), and American (2014, 2015).
• Led UCF to seven NCAA Tournaments and four Regional Finals (2008, 2014-2016)
• AAC Coach of the Year (2014-2015), Southeast Region Coaching Staff of Year (2014-2015)
• Volunteer Coach on USSSA Pride for their 2010 NPF Championship
