George O’Leary Reflects on UCF Career and Hall of Fame Induction

O’Leary also talks about Josh Heupel in rare interview with Marc Daniels

Former UCF Knights head coach George O’Leary, who will be inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame Friday night, appeared on “The Beat of Sports” radio show on 96.9 FM with Marc Daniels on Tuesday.

O’Leary talked about his arrival at UCF in 2004, as well as building a culture at UCF, winning the Fiesta Bowl against Baylor, and coaching Kevin Smith and Brandon Marshall who both will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame. O’Leary also shared his thoughts on current UCF head coach Josh Heupel.

O’Leary will be inducted into UCF Athletic Hall of Fame alongside Kevin Smith (2005-07), Brandon Marshall (2003-05), Women’s Soccer’s Aline Reis (2008-11), Softball’s Allison Kime (2006-08) and Baseball’s Drew Butera (2003-05).
