The American formally announced its new media rights deal with ESPN on Wednesday.

Financial terms were not officially disclosed, but John Ourand and Michael Smith of Sports Business Journal reported last week that the deal pays each school an average of $6.94 million per year.
The deal starts in 2020-2021 and goes through 2031-32.
