UCF Knights Head Men’s Basketball Coach Johnny Dawkins appeared on Thursday’s edition of “Open Mike” with Mike Bianchi and Brandon Kravitz, which airs weekday mornings from 6-9am on FM 96.9 The Game.
Dawkins talked to Bianchi about the Knights’ 12-2 start, including the win at UConn. Dawkins also discussed having his son Aubrey on the team, as well as Aubrey overcoming his injuries during his career.
He also talked about the strength of the American Athletic Conference in Basketball, as well as the Knights’ chances of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005.
Dawkins also talked about the progression of Tacko Fall this season, the impact of the football program’s success the last two seasons, and shared his thoughts on Duke’s Zion Williamson, B.J. Taylor’s play this season, and the one and done rule.
