For the first time since 2011, and just the second time ever, two UCF Knights Men’s Soccer players have been chosen in the MLS SuperDraft.
Cal Jennings heads to FC Dallas
First, and as expected, Cal Jennings was selected by FC Dallas with the 17th overall pick:

Jennings heads to Big D after earning First Team All-America honors and scoring 52 goals in four seasons at UCF.
Jonathan Dean drafted by Orlando City
UCF defender Jonathan Dean will stay in Central Florida, as he was drafted by Orlando City with the 13th pick of the second round.

Dean transferred to UCF from Wofford in 2016, and after fighting off injuries in 2017 and 2018, played every single minute on the back line for the Knights in 2019.
Together, Jennings and Dean are the 8th and 9th UCF players to be picked in the SuperDraft since James Georgeoff in 2008.
It’s also the first time two UCF Knights were picked since 2011, when Kevan George (Columbus Crew) and Warren Creavalle (Houston Dynamo) both went in the second round.
