Knights defeat bulls, 17-13, and take the all-time series lead

It was a historic night on Black Friday, as the UCF Knights defeated the South Florida Bulls, 17-13, at the Bounce House to take the all-time series lead for the first time.

After taking a 4-0 lead in the first four games of the series when UCF was in Conference USA and USF was in the Big East, the series resumed when both squads were in The American (the successor to the Big East. Since then, UCF has won seven of the nine meetings since both teams have been on an equal conference footing.

This year’s meeting may have been the final one between the two rivals at the Bounce House. The two teams are scheduled to meet again next year in Tampa, but if rumors are to be believed, UCF’s move to the Big 12 could happen in time for the 2023 season, obviating what could be one final match-up in Orlando.

So if this is it, these photos are, for the time being, our final memories of one of college football’s best young rivalries taking place in Orlando.
