On this special edition of the Black & Gold Banneret Podcast, Jeff and Eric are joined by the great Bo Clark on the day of the release of his new self-published book, “Torchy: The Humble Life of a Coaching Legend”.

Bo discusses his father, the legendary former FTU/UCF Knights head coach Torchy Clark, from the family’s roots in Wisconsin, through Bo’s playing career at UCF (where he remains the school’s all-time leading scorer) and Torchy’s contributions to the Knights’ program, which he founded in 1969, through Bo’s 31-year career as the head coach at Flagler College. It’s an amazingly in-depth conversation about basketball, coaching, and UCF’s great basketball legends from the program’s early days. We even settle an ongoing myth about Bo’s shooting prowess.

You can purchase “Torchy: The Humble Life of a Coaching Legend” on Amazon here.

You can also read a feature that Sports Illustrated did in 1979 about Bo and Torchy at UCF here.

Finally, Brian Murphy joins us to discuss Nevelle Clarke, Ben Lively in the KBO, the recruiting dead period, and various other topics.
