Firs the first time in program history, the UCF Knights volleyball team is ranked in the AVCA Coaches’ Poll.

The Knights came in at #25 in the October 22nd poll, after being in the receiving votes column the past few weeks.

The Knights, who jumped into the top 25 by virtue of beating conference competitor Cincinnati on the road this weekend, who were undefeated along with UCF prior to their showdown in the Queen City. UCF won in five.

Head coach Todd Dagenais tweeted that his squad remains focused as they prepare for the second half of the conference season:

The Knights are 18-3 and 9-0 in The American, all alone in first place, and have won 15 matches in a row. It’s their longest winning streak since 1997 (22 in a row), and their best start since joining the conference, including 2014, when they won the league.

UCF is also 9th in the national RPI rankings, thank largely to victories over Cincinnati, USC and Wichita State this season.

The Knights return home this weekend for matches against Houston on Friday night and SMU Sunday afternoon.
