The UCF Knights Volleyball team clinched at least a share of their fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference championship Friday night at The Venue after sweeping Temple on Senior Knight.
Prior to the match, UCF honored seniors Tali Marmen, Kathryn Wesolich, Nerissa Moravec and Anne-Marie Watson. They then dominated the Owls in three, 25-14, 25-2 (!), 25-17, and then celebrated the championship on the home floor.
Check out this photo gallery from that historic evening in the Venue:
The Knights are now 24-6 overall and 17-1 in conference, and have won 72 of their last 76 against American Athletic Conference teams.
It’s also the first time UCF has won four straight conference titles since 1993-1997, when UCF won five A-Sun (then called the TAAC) titles in a row.
UCF can clinch the outright conference championship and The American’s automatic NCAA bid by virtue of winning either of their final two matches on the road to close out the season. UCF is at Tulane Wednesday night and Houston Friday.
