Future UCF Hall of Famers: Women’s Basketball

UCF’s recent runs have propelled a few names into the limelight.

The UCF Knights’ women’s basketball program has had a rather inconsistent history up to this point, but some truly great players have come through the ranks, and many are coming due for their moment in the sun in the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame.

First, here are the current inductees:

  • Chariya Davis
  • Tari Phillips
  • Tamika Coley
  • Susan Patz

Now let’s show you who we think should get in next:

Zykira Lewis (2013-2017)

  • 2nd all-time at UCF in total points scored (1,883)
  • Two-time all-AAC selection, AAC All-Freshman selection
  • Only UCF player to lead team in scoring all four seasons
  • 41 points vs. FAU in 2014 is the second-highest single-game point total in program history
  • Made more three-pointers than any UCF basketball player, male or female (271)
  • 2nd all-time in FGs (694)
  • 3rd all-time in steals (257)
  • Part of UCF’s 2017 WNIT team

Chelsie Wiley (2007-2011)

  • Two-time All-C-USA selection
  • Two-time All-C-USA Tournament selection
  • 4th all-time at UCF in points scored (1,531)
  • 4th all-time in 3’s made (134)
  • 3rd all-time in 3-point percentage (.363)
  • Two NCAA Tournament appearances (2009, 2011)
  • Two-time C-USA Champion (2009, 2011)

Francine Houston (2004-2007)

  • Led UCF in scoring and 3FG% twice
  • 14th all-time at UCF in scoring (1,064 points)
  • Made at least seven threes in a game four times
  • 2nd all-time at UCF in 3-pointers (213)
  • 4th all-time in 3FG% (.359)
  • Currently working as a Deputy Sheriff in Manatee County while also coaching AAU sports

Aisha Patrick

  • All-C-USA First-Teamer in 2012
  • C-USA All-Defensive Team selection in 2011
  • Led UCF in points once (2011-2012), assists once (2010-2011), rebounds once (2010-2011) and steals all four seasons
  • Ranks 9th in scoring, 4th in rebounds, 4th in assists and tied for first all-time in steals at UCF
  • Currently coaching for Cocoa High School

Aliyah Gregory

  • Finished 6th all-time in scoring at UCF (1,437 points), 4th in FGs (578)
  • All-AAC First Teamer in 2016-17
  • Led UCF in FT% three times, assists once.
  • Made 15 shots from the field (4th-highest single-game total in UCF history in Knights’ first-ever win at South Florida in 2017
  • Tallied 9th-highest single-season points mark and 5th-highest total number of shots made in school history in 2016-17

D’Nay Daniels

  • All-C-USA Tournament selection in 2011
  • Led UCF in scoring and FG% in 2010-11
  • Ranks 8th all-time at UCF in scoring (1,217 points), 6th in rebounds, 8th in FGs,
  • Led UCF in FG% twice despite playing as a guard
  • Currently working as a Graduate Assistant for Memphis Women’s Basketball

Celeste Hudson

  • A-Sun Defensive Player of the Year in 2004-05
  • Two-time All-A-Sun First Teamer
  • Two-time All-A-Sun Tournament selection
  • Led UCF in scoring, steals, FT%, and 3FG% in 2003-04
  • Led UCF in 3FG% three times and steals twice
  • Led UCF in assists in 2006-07 after losing the entire 2005-06 season due to injury
  • Top-20 all-time in scoring at UCF (1,048 points)
  • Ranks 3rd at UCF all-time in 3FGs, 9th in steals, and 8th in FT%
