Knights land big win vs. Owls behind Kay Kay Wright’s 24 points

A big win for the Knights.

The UCF Knights are tasting revenge with their dinner tonight after beating the Temple Owls 67-64 at Addition Financial Arena.

The win comes almost a month after the team lost to the Owls by two points in Philadelphia.

It was the first win for the Knights this season in games decided by five points or less.

In a game that featured seven ties and eight lead changes, the game could have gone either way, but the Knights came out on top.

The win could not come at a better time for the Knights, who have re-entered a tie for second place with the Cincinnati Bearcats and the USF Bulls.

The Knights shot 45 percent from the field and displayed one of their more balanced scoring attacks of the season. Four Knights scored at least nine points, including Kay Kay Wright’s game-high 24.

Temple would not go away easily, with 23 points and 14 rebounds from Mia Davis and 16 points from Ashley Jones.

The Knights travel to Memphis to play the Lady Tigers Saturday. Tipoff is at 3 p.m.
