They’re baaaaaaack!
For just the sixth time in program history, the UCF Knights are going dancing in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. It also marks the first time the Knights have made the tournament in consecutive seasons.

The entire tournament is being played in the San Antonio area to limit travel due to COVID-19.
The Knights are listed as the 10-seed in the Alamo Region. It’s their highest seed in an NCAA Tournament in program history, just edging out the 11-seed they were back in 2019.
For their first matchup, the Knights draw the 7-seed Northwestern Wildcats, who held a 15-8 record this season, finishing fifth in the B1G Ten.
The Knights will definitely be a tough matchup for Northwestern. UCF holds one of the stingiest scoring defenses in the country, so expect a defensive slugfest when the two teams meet next Monday.
The winner of the UCF-Northwestern tilt will play the winner of Louisville-Marist, the 2-15 matchup in the region.
